Booking or attending any event operated by Curate Co. confirms your acceptance of the
following terms. These conditions exist to protect traders, visitors, and the integrity of
our markets.
1. Booking & Stall Allocation
Submission of a booking request does not guarantee a trading space. A pitch is
only confirmed once full payment has been received and a confirmation email or
message has been sent by Curate Co.
- If payment of the stall fee is not received by the due date stated on the invoice,
your pitch may be released and offered to another trader. In this instance, you
may not be able to rebook until the next available event - All stall placements, layouts, and positioning are determined solely by the
Curate Co. team and may be changed at any time for operational reasons. - We reserve the unrestricted right to refuse, cancel, or withdraw a booking
including those already paid for, without obligation to provide a detailed
explanation - Traders may be declined or removed where products, branding, behaviour, or
business practices conflict with our artisan ethos or event standards - All decisions made by Curate Co. are final
- By agreeing to trade, you waive any right to pursue claims for loss, damages,
defamation, or reputational harm arising from booking refusal, cancellation, or
removal
2. Cancellations
Event cancellation by Curate Co.:
If an event is cancelled by Curate Co. (for example due to severe weather or
circumstances beyond our control), 100% of the stall fee will be refunded. Alternatively,
at the trader’s request, the full amount may be transferred as a credit note towards a
future booking.
Trader cancellation:
Cancellations must be received at least 4 weeks prior to the event date to
qualify for a full refund
- Cancellations received between 7 days and 4 weeks prior to the event will be
issued with a credit note only. Credit notes are valid for 6 months and are
subject to availability at the time of rebooking - Cancellations received with less than 7 days’ notice are non-refundable and
non-transferable - All Christmas events and one-off events are strictly non-refundable and nontransferable under any circumstances
3. Insurance, Safet & Legal Responsibilities
Traders must hold Public Liability Insurance with a minimum cover of £5 million
(some hot food vendors may require £10 million)
Traders are fully responsible for ensuring their goods comply with all applicable
UK legislation, including (but not limited to) weights and measures, cosmetic
regulations, toy safety, hallmarking, and food hygiene laws.
Insurance documentation must be available upon request.
A written risk assessment must be maintained, covering hazards such as trip
risks, electrics, gas, hygiene, and structural safety
All gazebos must be fit for purpose and secured with a minimum combined
weight of 40kg.
Curate Co. accepts no responsibility for damage caused by trader equipment or
infrastructure.
4. Food & Beverage Vendors
All food traders must:
- Be registered with their local authority and fully comply with Environmental
Health regulations. - Hold a current Food Hygiene Rating of 4 stars or above, which is the minimum
requirement set by Curate Co. Ltd. - Ensure all open food is adequately protected with sneeze guards, and that food
handlers wear appropriate protective gloves. - Remove all waste generated by their stall from the site
Hot food vendors additionally must:
- Hold valid PAT certificates for electric items
- Hold valid Gas Safety certificates for relevant appliances
- Not use generators unless pre-agreed with the organiser
- Not expect access to power unless agreed in advance
Alcohol
All alcohol sales must be conducted under a valid Personal Licence.

- Challenge 25 signage must be clearly displayed at the stall
- Alcohol traders are responsible for obtaining a Temporary Event Notice (TEN)
from the relevant local authority and must provide a copy to Curate Co. Ltd in
advance of the event
5. Professional Conduct
- Traders must behave respectfully toward staff, fellow traders, and members of
the public - Aggressive, abusive, or discriminatory conduct will result in immediate removal
and a permanent ban - Behaviour considered damaging to the event’s reputation may lead to exclusion
from current and future markets - Three instances of lateness or three no-shows may result in suspension from
future bookings - Traders must remain for the full event duration unless authorised by the event
manager
6. Right of Refusal & Removal
Curate Co. Ltd maintains absolute discretion to decline or remove a trader at any stage,
including during a live event where goods, conduct, or business practices are
inconsistent with our values (including misrepresented, non-artisan)
Participation is by invitation and approval only. All decisions are final.
7. Liability
- Curate Co. Ltd does not guarantee sales, visitor numbers, or product exclusivity
- Traders are responsible for their own stock, equipment, staff, and financial
performance - Theft, damage, or parking penalties are the trader’s responsibility
Data Protection & Marketing
- Trader information is stored securely and used for administration and
promotional purposes - Business names and images may be featured on websites, social media, or
printed marketing materials - Licence or hygiene information may be disclosed to relevant authorities if
requested
Agreement
By booking or attending a Curate Co. Ltd event, you confirm that you have read,
understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
